A couple of local media outlets are reporting a case of the H-1 N-1 virus or swine flu contracted by a Brinkerhoff Intermediate School student in the Mansfield City Schools who is now at home.

However, WMFD on Friday contacted the Mansfield, Ontario, Richland County Health Department.  Mary Derr, epidemiologist and supervisor of public health nursing, says there has been no confirmation of any H-1 N1 virus regarding a student in the Mansfield City Schools.

The health department also says the final seasonal flu clinic will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19 in Fairhaven Hall at the Richland County Fairgrounds or until the supply runs out.  The seasonal flu clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 20 in Lucas, has been canceled due to a limited supply of remaining vaccine.

And, WMFD.com is teaming up with the Mansfield, Ontario, Richland County Health Department to allow you to get H-1 N-1 updates and alerts sent to your cell phone.  Just go to WMFD.com and on the home page, click on H-1 N_1 updates and alerts to sign up.  WMFD.com will send updates and alerts to your cell phone and or your email.
