Shelby mayoral candidates were the guests speakers Monday at the Richland County Republican Club's Weekly luncheon at the Cafe on Main Street in downtown Mansfield.

Incumbent Shelby Mayor Bill Freytag and mayoral candidates Marilyn John and Cohen Lewis spoke about the issues they would address if elected. Economic development, improving the quality of life and flooding from the Black Fork River were the three main issues the candidates discussed.

Voters will select the new mayor of Shelby in the Nov. 3 General Election.
