Volunteers are needed for the 2010 Ashland Balloonfest, set to run during the Fourth of July weekend. The first organizational meeting for next year's balloonfest was held Tuesday afternoon in the meeting room at National City Bank in Ashland.

2010 Ashland Balloonfest president Mindi Kick said it's never too early to get started on the popular event. Kick said they have a core group of people who put the balloonfest on and who put a lot of hard work into the event.

She said the more hands you have helps make the work lighter, so she's asking for more volunteers.
