Galion City Schools is working with the Crawford County Health Department to protect students from the H1N1 flu virus.

The district held a flu clinic Thursday afternoon at Galion Middle School and around 350 students were vaccinated. Galion City Schools Supt. Dr. Kathy Jenney said the goal is to minimize the risk of an outbreak of the virus.

Dr. Jenney said a letter was sent home with students Monday informing parents about the flu clinic. She said the district hopes to hold another flu clinic when more doses become available.
