Ashland County Coroner Dr. William Emery prefaced his message to the county commissioners Thursday by saying "death waits for no one, it doesn't run on a timetable."

Simply put, Dr. Emery told the county commissioners he's just about out of money in this year's budget for contract services and is about $1,900 short and cannot perform autopsies.

The commissioners told Dr. Emery they will review his budget and will get back to him in the near future.
