Many people came out in support of a weekend benefit for the family of Ken Cole, the longtime president of Toy Time, who passed away from cancer in October.

The United Auto Workers Union Hall Local 549 on W. Fourth Street in Ontario was the site for the benefit. It offered refreshments and food, a 50/50 drawing, a silent auction, live music and plenty of fellowship among family members and friends of Ken Cole, who served 44 years in charge of Toy Time.

His daughter Teresa Boner is now serving in the same capacity of her father as the vice president of Toy Time.

Boner said Toy time actually was born as an off-shoot of the local toys program started by the U.S. Marines when they were in Mansfield in 1967.
