The random drug testing policy in the Galion School District continues to be reviewed by board of education members.

The school board Thursday night did approve the update of the search and seizure policy but they continue to talk about the random drug testing policy itself.

Galion Schools Supt. Dr. Kathy Jenney says the board of education tabled the main component under discussion about wether they want to offer parents who have children in school but not in extra-curriculars the right as a parent to voluntarily sign their child into the random drug testing program.

The school board is not expected to make a final decision on the policy until sometime early next year.
