The Crawford County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help with information about an accident that happened Wednesday morning at Ohio 19 in Whetstone Township.

Deputies received several 911 calls in regards to the accident where a pickup truck lost control, skidding off the roadway where it flipped over and began to smoke. The driver and passenger were picked up by a passer-by and was to be driven to Bucyrus Community Hospital.

While in transport to the hospital, the white male and blonde-haired female got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact sheriff's deputy Kevin Taylor at 419-562-7905.
