One person was killed and another seriously injured in a weekend one-car traffic accident on Township Road 51 in Morrow County.

The Mt. Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says Emilia Sheibley, 19, of New Washington, died Sunday afternoon at Children's Hospital in Columbus from injuries she received in the Saturday night accident.

The patrol says Sheibley was a passenger in a car driven by Leah Schwaderer, 19, of Shleby, who lost control of her car on a curve and traveled off the road. Schwaderer was seriously injured and flown by medical helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus where she was listed in critical condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
