After winning the Division II regional meet at Tiffin last Saturday, it's off to Scioto Downs. The team consists of two seniors, one junior and four sophomores who all believe their strength lies in the sum of all its parts. Last weekend was proof of that. Their best time was good enough for just 22nd place, but only nine seconds separated their first and fifth place runners. Senior co-captain Rachel Dannemiller says that's the way it's been all year. Coach Bob DeLauder hopes that pack instinct continues in Columbus, however, the pack will have to move their force to the front of the field in order to do as well as they hope. Adam Schroder has had an outstanding senior year, and will run at the state meet for the first time. He's hoping to beat his personal best of 16:21 he posted at this year's Galion Invitational. Adam also won the 2009 Richland County Cross Country Championships.
