After finishing last season at 10-11, with a loss to Ashland in the sectional final, the Mansfield Senior girls basketball team returns six lettermen from a season ago.  With the talent that is coming back, fourth year coach Todd Krill expects his team to contend for an OCC crown if the team stays focused on basketball.  The Tyger girls will open the season on November 27, at Bucyrus.  Also, in girls athletic's, Madison's Kellie Orwiler earned All-Ohio honors in helping the Rams to a 24-3 finish and a regional semi-final appearance for the third straight season.  The senior also earned a full ride from North Carolina Greensboro.  In golf, Ashland's Rachel Thompson, who finished as state runner-up this past October has also earned a full ride in her sport at Mid-American Conference school Marshall.  Thompson helped to lead the Ashland girls golf team to back-to-back state appearances.
