  Miriam M. Henderson, 93, of Mansfield, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Wesley Glen Retirement Center in Columbus. Born April 27, 1914 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Anna (Hoffman) Frietchen. Miriam had 57 years of marriage to the love of her life James who passed away in 1996. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1932. Prior to her marriage, she worked for Westinghouse Corp. An area homemaker her entire life, Miriam was an active, lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ, taught Sunday school for 50 years, had been a member of the choir, card ministry, and visited shut-ins. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Ruth Chapter #17, the Arthritis Foundation, Katherine Aberle Guild and Garden Club. Miriam was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She is survived by her three children, Sharon (Bill) Bonner of Lancaster, PA, Sally (Phil) Preuninger of Apple Valley, MN, Nancy (Tom) Welch of Worthington; six grandchildren, Ken (Diane) Bonner, Scott Bonner, Jill (Pete) Leland, Wendy (Tim) Horton, Jim (Elissa) Welch, and Stephanie (Marc) Behringer; seven great-grandchildren, Renee, Wesley, Gavin Bonner, Andrew and Jonah Leland, Luke Horton, and Andrew Behringer; and five nieces and nephews, Harry Frietchen, Jessie Petska, Molly Spencer, John Park and Paul Park. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Harry F. Frietchen and her sister Marjorie Frietchen. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 15 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner with Order of the Eastern Star services at 7:45 p.m. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Lon McSherley will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in St. John's United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
