Joseph Samuel Christini, 84, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Lexington Court Care Center. Born November 22, 1924 in Crestline, he was the son of Antholio and Consetta (Arcudi) Christini. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII. Joseph retired as a project superintendant for Pogemyer Design Group. He had a large Italian family that was very important to him. A good neighbor, Joseph had a strong work ethic and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Constance J. Cantrill and her special friend, William Law of Loudonville; grandson, Brent Joseph Allen of Galloway; great grandson, Luke Joseph Allen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Charles Newhon of Mansfield and Patricia and Don Harley of Crestline; brothers and sisters-in-law, Francis and Charlotte Christini of Crestline and Edward and Carol Christini of Colorado; and fiancé, Jean Bittenger. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mary (Bailey) Christini. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield, conducted by Rev. John Wiseman. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veteran’s Burial Detail will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church.
