Chelley Kemper

Monday thru Friday
6:00am - 10:00am

Chelley (Richelle to family and friends) is the other half of the successful, family-friendly Mix 106.1 morning team.   Unlike Tony Mitchell, Chelley needs a little caffeine pick-me-up to get her day going!  And, she refuses to get up at 2:00 a.m. to get ready for the show—4:00 a.m. is soon enough, thank you!  Chelley takes pride in keeping Tony in line and lends female perspective to the show.

When the radio mic is off, Chelley is host of WMFD’s Bon Appetit, a weekly entertainment feature WMFD's Newswatch, and the WRGM Auction.  Chelley enjoys her role as emcee of special station events such as the Children’s Miracle Network broadcast, the Rehab Telethon and her role in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

In her free time, Chelley teaches private vocal and classical music in her home to area students.   As a vocalist, her performances have included the Town Roast, past work with the Mansfield Symphony Chorus and First English Lutheran Church, and she performs the National Anthem for local events and Norwalk Raceway Park!

Chelley got her start in the business in 1991 after graduating From Ashland University in 1990 with a B.A. in Communications and Vocal Music Performance.  On a whim she auditioned in the business and has been an addict to the radio and television spotlight ever since!

Chelley is married to Kent Kemper and they have a beautiful daughter named Allie.
