Ginger Cookies


3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ground ginger
candied ginger
powdered sugar

General Info:
Preheat oven to 375
Yield: 48 cookies


  1. Cream together butter & sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add molasses and egg; mix well.
  3. Roll into small balls and coat with powdered sugar.
  4. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven, press in pieces of candied ginger while still warm.
