MANSFIELD, OH - Mansfield is bursting with excitement for the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program and competition this week.

Preliminary competition continues Friday evening at 7:30 PM at the Renaissance Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at

Finals night is Saturday June 15th, followed by a coronation party at 9:45pm - a meet and greet session - with the newly crowned Miss Ohio 2019.

Miss Ohio 2018, Matti-Lynn Chrisman, stayed exceptionally busy not only representing Ohio at the Miss America Program Pageant last September, but in her day-to-day role promoting her very personal platform of mental illness awareness and suicide prevention.

Chrisman became immersed in speaking events, could be found at county fairs, grand openings and many personal appearances throughout her reign. She also could be found back on the Renaissance stage in a role befitting her personality, Sophie Sheridan - from  the hit musical "Mama Mia".

Chrisman's future will include a paid internship in Canton in Marketing, and she will be back at the REN to take on a role in the musical ""Matilda" based on the book by Roald Dahl and she will finish her final semester at Kent State.
