Ashland Historical Noonan House To Celebrate 20 Years

ASHLAND, OH- The Ashland Historical Society will host a 20th Anniversary Celebration and Open House at the Noonan Building located at 420 Center Street in Ashland. 

The event on July 25th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will celebrate the legacy of Eloise Ridgeway Noonan. Included in the celebration will be an open house and lunch provided in partnership with the Ashland Elks Lodge 1360.

Noonan was a lifetime member, longtime board member and volunteer. She was was a key player in the development of the historical society's programs, practices and procedures. 

Noonan was a professor at Ashland College from 1996 until 1976 and a local philanthropist in the city for 30 years. Originally, from Oakhill, Ohio and passed away on January,27,1997. 

The Lunch will cost $7 with all proceeds benefiting the Historical society. On the menu for lunch is a pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw, potato chips, cake and ice cream. Reservations are required and must be received by July 22 by calling 419-289-3111 or email [email protected]

The Noonan House was built and dedicated on July 25, 1999, after the Historical Society received a generous bequest from the Estate of Eloise Ridgeway Noonan. The building currently houses the administrative offices and library, a Streetscope of Ashland, the Ashland County Sports Hall of Fame display and a Military History room.
