UPDATE: Mansfield Robbery Pursuit Ends With Ontario Rollover

ONTARIO, OH - A bank robbery occurred around 9:33 a.m. Thursday at the KeyBank located at 1485 Lexington Ave. in Mansfield.

The robbery led to a pursuit that started with the Mansfield Police Department and quickly involved other local law enforcement offices.

The car involved in the pursuit was a gold Chevy Cavalier which had traveled throughout Mansfield reaching speeds of up to 80 MPH.

During the pursuit, the vehicle drove through North Lake Park killing 2 ducks, before traveling to Ontario when the driver then struck a Ford F-150 on West 4th St. in front of El Campestre.

According to Ontario Police Chief, Tommy Hill, no officers were injured in this pursuit. 

Authorities had re-routed traffic from West 4th St. between Home Rd and Lex-Springmill Rd. along with the on and off ramps from State Route 309 to West 4th St.

One person was taken into police custody, and two others were transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.  

The Ontario Police Department, Mansfield Police Department, State Highway Patrol, Richland County Sheriff's Office, and Springfield Fire and EMS all responded to the scene.

A press release with more information is expected from the Mansfield Police Department Thursday afternoon.
