ASHLAND, OH – A team of three MBA students from Ashland University has been selected to participate in the KeyBank MBA Minority Student Case Competition for 2018.

The AU students, Kaneeka Dalton Paul of Columbus, Ohio; Andrea Shellow of Columbus, Ohio; and Abdallah Ibrahim of Amman, Jordan, will participate in the 14th Annual KeyBank & Fisher College of Business Minority MBA Student Case Competition on February 23-25, 2018, at the Westin Cleveland Downtown in Cleveland, Ohio.

AU’s Dr. Dan Fox, associate professor of business administration, will serve as the faculty coach for the event.

“We are excited because this will be the first time that Ashland University students have participated in this competition,” said AU’s Dr. Elad Granot, dean of the Dauch College of Business and Economics. “This competition will give these students an opportunity to apply their coursework to a challenging real-life business problem while competing against teams from some of the best MBA programs in the world. Most importantly, our MBA students will make an impact while engaging in this innovative experience.”

KeyBank Foundation will supervise the selection of a contemporary and never-before-used case topic addressing business issues with varied implications at either a national or international level. Teams of three presenters are being invited from universities and colleges across the country to compete.

Each team will benefit from the opportunity to develop important professional skills such as analyzing and responding quickly to often-complex business issues. Also, teams will have a chance to hone their communication and team-building talents while learning from the expertise of business executive judges and moderators.
