ASHLAND, OH - Bill Harris Auto held their third annual "Keys 4 Needs" giveaway Friday afternoon at their Claremont Avenue location.

This year, to honor Mother's Day, Bill Harris Auto wanted the vehicle to go to a deserving single mother. Five finalists were chosen through a third-party process and all of them met at the dealership today to find out who the lucky winner was.

This year, Lacey Shaw walked away with the keys to a brand new Dodge Grand Caravan at no cost to her whatsoever. She will not owe a cent for the vehicle nor will she have to pay taxes or fees on it. The van will also be outfitted to accommodate a power chair for her son, Jagger.

"It's a blessing to be able to have a reliable vehicle that's going to be able to get us to work and daycare and all his doctor's appointments and therapies," said Shaw.

Office Manager Sarah Hunt said of Lacey and Jagger, "On top of everything, she is making sure there is progress made for him [Jagger] every day. So that's why we felt so compelled to help be able to make him mobile. We loved being able to meet them and have a relationship with them."

According to Sales Manager David Harris, the normal retail value of this particular Dodge Grand Caravan would be between twenty and thirty thousand dollars.

Ashland Mayor Matt Miller made an appearance at the event as well, saying, "There's no question that reliable transportation can truly change an individual or a family's lives." He stressed that events like these, sponsored by loyal local businesses, are certainly a big part of what makes the Ashland community unique.
