Mansfielder Tries To Sell Marijuana At McDonald's Drive-Thru

MANSFIELD, OH - A man tried to sell Marijuana to a driver that was in a McDonalds Drive Thu in Mansfield. 

On Tuesday, July 10th at approximately 12:19 AM Officers from the Mansfield Division of Police responded to a reported individual attempting to sell drugs at a drive-thru. 

The driver informed police that while he was waiting in the drive-thru at the McDonalds located at 540 North Trimble Road a man approached him and asked if he wanted to purchase any marijuana. 

The suspect showed the driver a small amount of marijuana and stated that he needed money for a cheeseburger. 

The driver declined and then contacted the police department. 

The suspect was located walking northbound on North Trimble Road in front of the McDonalds. The suspect was advised why he was being contacted and gave consent to a search. 

A small amount of marijuana was located in a pill bottle in the suspects right pants pocket. 

Antoine Lamonte Smith, age 47 of Mansfield, was issued a summons in lieu of arrest and released.
