Richland County Foundation Approves Community Project Grants

MANSFIELD, OH - Grants have been approved by the Richland County Foundation Board of Trustees to area nonprofit agencies during the foundations October meeting. 

A total of $568,627 in grants were approved.  

The Mansfield Art Center received a grant for its Art Rising campaign. Funding for the campaign will allow the art center to construct a new arts education building and an events pavilion. The funds will also allow for renovation of the current building, and establish an outreach program with Mansfield City Schools and support a new marketing/development employee. 

Catholic Charities received grant money and will use it to improve individual assistance. 

Flying Horse Farms will use their grant to send Richland County children with serious illnesses to camp.

North Central State College Foundation received funds to renovate classrooms to include smart technology. 

The Board of Trustees also approved additional grants from donor-advised funds to the following organizations:

- Friendly House
- Healthnetwork Foundation
- Inclusive Higher Education Certificate Program
- Lucas Community Center
- Madison Summer Baseball League
- Malabar Farm Foundation
- Mansfield Area Y
- Mansfield Art Center
- Mansfield Playhouse
- Mansfield Richland Educational Chamber
- North Central Ohio Land Conservancy
- Richland County Development Group
- Resurrection Parish
- Village of Bellville
