METRICH Warrant Results In Drugs, Cash, And Firearms Seized

RICHLAND COUNTY, OH - A search warrant executed by the METRICH Enforcement Unit and other agencies resulted in the seizure of drugs, cash, and firearms. 

On Thursday, December 13th, 2018 at 9:00 AM, the METRICH Enforcement Unit with assistance from the Mansfield Division of Police and the Allied Special Operations Response Team served a drug-related search warrant at 75 Helen Avenue. The search warrant was the result of a short-term drug trafficking investigation after receiving several complaints of suspected drug activity in the neighborhood. 

The search warrant led to METRICH Detectives seizing approximately two ounces of suspected methamphetamine, three ounces of suspected heroin/fentanyl, four ounces of suspected cocaine, marijuana, two firearms, and $2,000 in U.S Currency. 

One of the firearms recovered was reported to be stolen. 

Broderick E. Petty was arrested by METRICH Detectives. Petty was charged with counts of Trafficking in Drugs, Possession of Drugs, Having Weapons While Under Disability and Receiving Stolen Property. 

Petty was incarcerated at the Richland County Jail pending his appearance in court. Further charges may be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor's Office. 

"The METRICHEnforcementt Unit continues to target those individuals selling drugs in the community and urges the community to continue reporting suspected drug activity." Lt. Josepth D. Petrycki, METRICH Commander, stated.
