Baugh Arraignment Sees Defendant Plead Not Guilty

MANSFIELD, OH - After being indicted on Monday, 28-year-old Kory Baugh appeared via video in Mansfield Municipal Court for his arraignment on Tuesday. Baugh was indicted on three charges related to the death of 18-month-old Zamien Scott, who suffered head injuries while under the care of a babysitter.

Baugh entered a plea of "not guilty" to the charges in the indictment. Baugh will be electronically monitored during the case. As per bond conditions, Baugh has been ordered not to contact any member of the Scott family during case proceedings.

As of this writing, Baugh has not posted bond and remains in custody. The court provided Baugh with a court-appointed lawyer for future legal proceedings, Attorney Benjamin D. Kitzler.
