ASHLAND, OH - Ohio State Highway Patrol (OHP) Troopers are continually looking “beyond the plate” to remove drugs from Ohio communities and return stolen vehicles to their rightful owners.

Trooper Bob Marshall, of the Ashland Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol received an Ace Award.

The Ace Award is one of the most sought after awards the Highway Patrol gives. The award is given to troopers for excellence in combating auto larceny and recovering stolen vehicles. In order to receive it, troopers must attain at least five stolen-vehicle recoveries within 12 months and make a corresponding arrest.

“I enjoy working with the public and this is just one of the ways.” Trooper Marshall said, “this Award is a difficult one to achieve.”

The total amount for the stolen vehicles recovered by Trooper Marshall was $188,000.

Congratulations to Trooper Bob Marshall!
