Morning House Fire Breaks Out On Harker Street In Mansfield

MANSFIELD - A house fire broke out sometime around 8 A.M. Thursday morning at 326 Harker street in Mansfield.

According to Assistant Mansfield Fire Chief Mark Sieving, the report coming in over the scanner stated a house was on fire with an infant and a woman trapped inside. Upon arrival, the first squad was able to safely extract the woman from the residence, but the Infant had already been safely removed. The woman was treated on the scene.

Sieving says the fire was in the back side of the house and broke out between the first and second floors. He called the damage minor. The Red Cross was called in to assist the family.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
