Richland Young Professionals 10 Under 40: Nikki Lewis

RICHLAND COUNTY, OH - Nicole "Nikki" Lewis is one of Richland County's 10 Under 40!

Nikki is the Foundation Manager at the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce. The chamber's goal is to promote growth in businesses in Richland county and support economic development while offering benefits to its member organizations.

Nikki manages many programs at the chamber, including Leadership Unlimited. The program, which has just seen its 37th class graduate, is a 9 month course that focuses on learning the challenges and opportunites that are present in the community. Residents that go through the program network with local area officials. 

Other programs include the Quarterly Economic Luncheon, and the Richland Idea Audition. 

The program that most stands out to Nikki, however, is the Young Entrepreneurs Academy. Middle school and high school students enrolled in the academy start their own businesses and learn how to be a successful CEO. The students also pitch thier companies to potential investors in hopes of securing money to further expand their business. 

When it comes to giving advice to fellow Richland County residents, Nikki says that finding your passion is the most important step in becoming successful in your career. 

"You need to have a passion for what those organizations are doing, or you'll get burnt out and not truly understand what their missions are." Nikki said.
