Mara Mason Wins Second Miss Ohio Preliminary

MANSFIELD, OH - The second preliminary competition was held on Friday night for the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program, and Miss Franklin County - Mara Mason - walked away with the award for the second talent portion of the program. 

Mason stole the show with her rendition of "Think of Me" from Andrew Lloyd Weber's classic musical "Phantom of the Opera." Mason was awarded a $500 scholarship.

Several other awards included "Miss Photogenic," which went to Miss Clayland - Rachel Gombosch, a memorial scholarship that went to Miss Northwestern Ohio - Emily Legenza, along with a scholarship that went to Caroline Grace Williams, who raised the most money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

The final night of competition will take place Saturday at 7:30 PM.
