GALION, OH - The old Galion High School property has been sold.

The district announced Wednesday that the Galion City School District Board of Education approved a resolution to accept an offer for the old Galion High School property.

The property was sold to Charles Smith for $20,000.

The old high school is located at 200 West Church Street.

The board of education received help selling the property from Craig A. Miley Realty and Auction. The old high school has been up for sale 2012.

"We are excited to finalize the sale of the property to Mr. Smith," Galion Superintendent Jim Grubbs said. "This has been a long time in the making, and this transaction helps the district cut property maintenance costs that we had been incurring the past 11 years."
