MADISON, OH- In the early hours of Sunday morning a car came flying into the home of Phyllis Bradley on Grace Street in Madison.

The crash ended a pursuit that began on State Route 430 near Hickory Lane according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The suspect's vehicle escaped the sight of State Troopers while driving north on Illinois Avenue and drove into Bradley's yard and through her front door.  Bradley's son, Kelly Blevins said that the driver missed his mother's bedroom by only a few feet.

The suspect fled the scene and was not apprehended.  The pursuit remains under investigation.

Bradley was taken to Ohio Health Mansfield by Madison Township EMS following the incident and was released without any major injuries.

"I was woken up at about 4am.  A trooper came to get me, let me know my mom was okay, but told me about the accident," Blevins said.  "This guy, I guess was on a high speed chase. They were following him up Illinois."

The crazy part is, people have been crashing into Bradley's home for years.

"I grew up in this house and I can't count the times that someone has been drunk and come right through that stop sign and into our yard, hit our cars, hit trees, hit flag poles, hit the corner of the house once," Blevins said. said.

Blevins hopes that a guard rail will be put up in the front of the yard to help protect the home from accidents in the future.

"I'd like to see some kind of barrier here," Blevins said.  "I don't know if it will ever happen but we'll just hope for the best."
