Fire Destroys Outbuilding On Marion Avenue Road

ONTARIO, OH - Several fire departments responded to the 2600 block of Marion Avenue Road on Monday evening after reports of a large structure fire.

Smoke could be seen billowing from the blaze at the intersection of Lexington-Ontario Road and Marion Avenue Road. According to Chief Rich Compton of the Troy Township Fire Department, the fire had fully engulfed an out-building when crews from Troy and Springfield Townships arrived.

The fire was extinguished shortly after 10:00 PM, but had totalled the outbuilding. Despite the damage done to the structure, none of the residents were harmed or displaced, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Troy Township Fire Department was aided by Springfield Township Fire Department at the scene.
