Heart Of City Cruise In; Ashlandapalooza; Brewfest Weekend

  MANSFIELD, OH - Let's hopscotch around North Central Ohio for events happening in the various communities.

The 24th Annual Heart of the City Cruise In is this weekend - this Saturday, August 24, at the Mansfield Central Park Gazebo area along Park Ave. West. 

Registration is bright and early at 8:00am with the event to run until mid-afternoon.

Always a crowd pleaser, this cruise in brings rows and rows of cars in for viewing.

A family friendly event, Saturday's cruise in will include, live entertainment, door prizes, 100 plus trophies, and vendor’s ally, a popular stop.        

Pre-registration will offer up a t-shirt, a dash plaque, and chances to win cash prizes too.

Following the car show and just a county away is Saturday's "Ashlandapalooza" day on Main Street.  Watch for Main Street closings and detours posted. 

It's a chance to enjoy the end of summer break before the kick off of the new school year.

Plenty of businesses will offer deals and sidewalk sale items, and there will be plenty of food trucks and live music to entertain too.

The Knox Community Hospital Foundation presents the Kokosing River Brewfest event this Saturday, all day, from 1-10pm.

It's a day dedicated to the enjoyment of live music and 24 brewries which will be represented from throughout the state of Ohio.

Beginning this Monday, August 26th, the Ashland Area Chorus will begin rehearsals on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8:45pm in Room 242 of the Center for the Arts on the campus of Ashland University.

The AAC is under the direction of Libby Moore Slade.

Open to all adults with a love for vocal music, they are accepting high schoolers in also with permission of the ensemble's director.  For questions on memberships and fees, call 419-685-5460.
