ASHLAND, OH- Ohio's Hospice LifeCare celebrated the opening of their new office building with a ribbon cutting Thursday afternoon.

The new building, located at 1109 Eastern Avenue, will provide a home base for employees according to Director of Clinical Operation, Christy Michaels.

"We have been serving Ashland for a number of years and we wanted a space here to call home, to have staff work out of, and to take care of our neighbors," Michaels said.

The building is located next to the hospital and close to downtown.  LifeCare purchased the building and had it renovated into a modern office space.

"It's an office space for our clinical staff so our nurses, social workers, personal care assistants, chaplins.  They all come here, pick up supplies, charts, and then they go out to visit patients in their homes," Michaels said.

The organization strives to be a part of the community and hopes that their new location will help aid them in their mission to help people through their time of need.

"We want to be part of the community," Michaels said.  "We want to take care of people during a difficult time of their lives and to make that as easy as we can to really find life in every day."
