MANSFIELD, OH- Catalyst Life Services held an appreciation breakfast this morning to say ‘thank you' to all of their local business partners.

The breakfast celebrated the incredible success of the worksite program throughout the past year.  Catalyst has 80 paid worksites with about 200-300 participants at any one time according to Mitch Jacobsen, Director of Vocational Services at Catalyst Life Services.

The worksite program helps participants to gain job experience in a field that they are interested in.

"The various partners that we have would offer up their facilities and the time of their supervisors to work with our participants," Jacobsen said.  "Participants are starting out at entry level positions within their businesses and they are coming to try and gain the skills needed to gain long term employment within that particular field."

Richland County has been very supportive of the program and many local businesses have been happy to take part according to Jacobsen.

"We have the benefit of working in a community that strongly embraces the paid work experience programs and the partnership with the different programs that we have," Jacobsen said.  "We are extraordinarily thankful for all of our business partners and we're proud to say that the attendance at this year's breakfast is twice what it was last year."
