Raymond L. Karsmizki, 89, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at his sons residence. Born June 25, 1929 in Mansfield, he was the son of Leo and Sarah Karsmizki.

 

Raymond was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, the Institute of Applied Science and the Military Police School in Fort Gordon, Georgia. He retired with the rank of Major from the Mansfield Police Department. He enjoyed collecting old cars, going to car shows and forensic science.

 

He is survived by his son, Jim (Stacy) Karsmizki; grandchildren, Michelle Enix, Katie Karsmizki, Dustin Gledhill, Shannon Gledhill and Kelsey Gledhill; numerous great grandchildren; special friend, Anita Mochoskay; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Sharon; a son, John; a granddaughter, Tracy; a sister, Alice; and three brothers, Robert, Arthur and David.

 

Per Raymond's wishes a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Lantz Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
